August, our beloved cat and friend, passed away on May 21st 2010. This is the last photo I took of him in our home on April 2nd of this year. He was Lincoln's companion for over 14 years and I'm lucky to have known him for the past 6 years. He was the coolest cat that I've ever met. We miss him dearly.

Several years ago, I saw a video on the internet of a dog skateboarding and thought it was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen an animal do. Never in my life did I think I would see a dog skateboarding in person. Then, this Monday, I did! I was photographing a friend of mine and her mother in SE Portland and we just happened upon this adorable animal and his owner hanging out, gleaming the cube. Sometimes, out of no where, life gives you these little gifts. I'm glad I had my camera:)

I'm beside myself with happiness that my Phalaenopsis Orchid has started to blossom again. For the first time in seven months, she has a beautiful blossom, which opened on the very first day of spring. I'm totally smitten!

This is my beautiful sister-in-law with the brand new addition to the family, Thunder. Thunder is a rescue-horse and an amazingly sweet and gentle creature. He's doing so much better since he's been under Jessie's care.
